Okay, everyone is saying that “There’s no way Naruto could die!” and “No one’s stronger than Naruto!” and “If you’re even thinking about that, you’re not a true fan!”
Now for my argument.
We do not know whether Naruto will or will not die later in the series. But it’s stupid to just brush it off as an impossible possibility. I present to you the evidence against and for Naruto dying.
1 - Naruto is no longer the main character
One thing that is always true in every single book, movie, TV show, etc, is that the main character CANNOT die. (At least not until the end of the story)
So all those times it was so suspenseful in the series, we were assured he wouldn’t die. He couldn’t die. But now Naruto is no longer the main character. Boruto is. So there is no unwritten contract that ensures Naruto will survive. Just because he feels like the main character doesn’t mean he is.
2 - Animes love to play with our emotions.
Honestly, if I was a writer for Boruto, I would want to kill Naruto to invoke a deep emotional reaction in the viewers, as well as throw a major plot twist in the story. It’s only natural for the anime to try and mess with our emotions.
3 - Naruto is mortal.
Naruto is indeed, very powerful, as was shown in past chapters, episodes, movies, etc. It seems, in this generation, Naruto and Sasuke are considered god-tier.
BUT
Naruto is not invincible.
He can’t do everything alone. I think it might be possible, if he was somehow reduced in strength greatly, and fighting alone.
4 - The viral pics
I just wanted to confirm, these are fake.
The shading/coloring doesn't match, as well as Sasuke’s nose.
and the other one…

.. is also fake. The blood looks nothing like Kishimoto’s style, as it’s all blurred and unfocused, as well as the linework, which is too thin.
5 - Naruto and Sasuke are going to leave the story for some period at some point.
The thing is, while Naruto and Sasuke are in the story, quite literally ALL OUR ATTENTION is on them, not Boruto, the main character.
Also, while they are there, it would be very difficult to create a BELIEVABLE villan whom Naruto and Sasuke could not easily demolish. Heck, until he ate Kinshiki’s chakra, even Momoshiki was no match for them.
At some point, Naruto and Sasuke are gonna be kicked out of the picture in some way for the sake of the story.
6 - In the manga and trailers, Boruto quite literally states, “But this isn’t the story about a boy who aims to become Hokage. This is none other than… MY story. But… since I’m the Hokage’s son… I can’t help that my dad ends up being involved in the story. ” AND HE SAYS IT AGAIN.
“I’ll say this one my time… This is MY story… Except, for just a little bit at the start… It’s the story of me and my dad.”
The first theory contemplates the idea of Kawaki being a genetic clone of broth Naruto and Sasuke, essentially making him a fusion of the two most powerful shinobi to exist. (as well as some other stuff
The second explains what the seal on Boruto;s hand might be, and it’s abilities, which might have power strong enough to defeat Naruto and or Sasuke. He thinks that this Kawaki dude also has this sort of seal, which is why only Boruto, who also has a seal is the only match for him.
Still, they might not ACTUALLY be dead. Kawaki might’ve kidnapped them in their weakened state, maybe he sent them to a hell-dimension, maybe he thinks they’re dead but they’re actually not. Who knows?
8 - The village has been DEMOLISHED.
In the beginning of the Manga, we see the village has been completely destroyed, to the point which even the great stone faces are gone. We also know that if Naruto and Sasuke were present at the time, this wouldn’t have happened. Also, it would’ve taken someone who is at least as strong as ONE of them to destroy the village to this extent.
aNYWAYs…
Also, I wanted to mention that one of the writers mentioned that Boruto does take a dark turn somewhere in the series. Don’t know what, yet.

So, maybe he’s dead, maybe he’s not dead. 51% sure he’s not dead but who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would also like to mention that if they DO kill Naruto, the small portion of the fanbase that watches Boruto would diminish to none, and the show would fail. He might die and come back to life, maybe he does ACTUALLY die, maybe he is just made to look like he died. I don’t know.
